European Coworking Day 2026 Brought Europe Together, One Space at a Time

On Wednesday, 6 May 2026, coworking spaces across Europe opened their doors to celebrate the 4th European Coworking Day. What started as a simple idea has grown into something truly continental, with 252 locations across 36 countries taking part this year.

The European Coworking Day is a distributed, crowdsourced celebration of coworking and community. There is no single stage or headline venue. Instead, every participating coworking space becomes a hub of activity in its own city, town, or neighbourhood.

From open days and workshops to shared lunches, creative sessions and networking events, the day highlighted what coworking has always been about: connection, collaboration and belonging.

What makes European Coworking Day unique is that it is built by the community itself. Each space creates its own experience, reflecting the people and culture around it, while still being part of something much bigger happening simultaneously across Europe.

This year’s celebrations showed just how diverse and connected the coworking movement has become:

The spirit of the day even travelled beyond Europe, to Neighbors & Nomads in the Philippines, joining the movement and celebrating alongside European communities.

Across every event, one thing stood out clearly: coworking is no longer just about desks and WiFi. It is about creating spaces where people can feel unified and inspired in the way they work and live.

As remote and flexible work continue to become part of modern life, coworking spaces are playing an increasingly important role in building resilient local communities and meaningful human connections.

European Coworking Day 2026 was proof of that.

The next edition is already set to be even bigger, with dates still to be confirmed. Stay tuned.
